The Beauty and Godliness of Sexual Love | It has already been established in separate studies (see "Marriage" and "Oneness" Studies) that God's perfect plan for man and woman is to be unified in one flesh in the sanctity of marriage. This study will show how God designed sexual pleasure to be a Blessing and Joy to the marriage relationship. Additional studies will show how sex outside of committed loving marriage relationship is incomplete, unsatisfying and even damaging and destructive. | Song of Solomon 1:1-2 | Now for the Joy of Sex in marriage we will take a quick tour of Song of Solomon. We see again the euphoria or intoxication of wine compared to the kisses and love of the spouse. The openness and giving of each other's body is expressed as being extremely valuable (as myrrh) as "He shall lie all night betwixt my breast". | Song of Solomon 1:10-17 4:1-15 5:10-16 6:4-9 | The beauty of the naked body is described many times, although ancient Middle Eastern comparisons are sometimes a little less visually impressive by today's standards. | Hebrews 13:4 Song of Solomon 2:3-6 4:5-16 5:1-13 7:7-13 | Let's not forget that within marriage there is no sexual pleasure between the two that is off limits. Hebrews 13:4 states that "marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled…" Thus there are many references in Song of Solomon to the oral pleasures of sexual love. Some of the references to oral sex clearly precede sexual intercourse. It is clear in Song of Solomon that sexual pleasure is a provision of God. | | May God bless you with total sexual satisfaction in your marriage relationship - That is the only place you can find it. |
