Eternally Secure?
|
So now that you have accepted Christ’s shed blood for payment of your sins (you may have done it earlier in your life) is it possible that you could lose your salvation due to some intentional sin or some very grave sin? |
1 Corinthians 6:11 Hebrews 10:10 Romans 5:1, 9,18 Ephesians 1:14 Romans 5:11 Ephesians 1:7 Hebrews 9:12, 9-28, 10:1-18 |
The Bible says at the moment we accept Christ’s payment for our sin we become “washed” (in the past tense), we become “sanctified”, we become “Justified” and we have become “purchased possessions”. The Bible also says we have already received the atonement and eternal redemption. Christ made this payment “once forever”. He will not have to make it again. It is enough of a payment to cover all men’s sins both in the past and in the future. This is why Apostle Paul promises that we are “sealed” by the Holy Spirit at the moment we accept Christ’s payment. |
Ephesians 1:13, 14, 4:30, 5:30 |
And that sealing is the guarantee of our inheritance. We also become part of the Church the Body of Christ. We actually become part of His flesh and bones. Since we are part of Him, Christ cannot kick Himself out of heaven. |
II Timothy 2:13 |
We are there as part of Him. |
